The regular updates make really interesting reading.  Love all the pics as well, especially the one of your flat!(good luck in finding a new place!)  Just read the Guardian link re passports/visas - bit of a bummer - might find you have to go and visit the Colonel himself to sort this out - diplomatic fellow that I know you to be.
